Anyone have stories about reconnecting w/ SO?

I'll start off by saying that I have been married for 9 years. I did that while being in the military. Had first child right after Afghanistan. Did a demanding b-billet being away from home pretty much 3 years. Before all of this I did have a training accident and fell off a helicopter. I pushed off medical treatments after initial surgery to deploy again. Did that and put off medical for about 3 years. I recently got out of the Marine Corps and I'm using a veterans grant and GI Bill doing 19 hours this semester. Just being still disconnected with the wife all of these years.
Anyways being on pain meds and doing this with my kids I decided last week to start smoking pot. I've never felt more connected with my wife and kids. Everything stops and I've been focusing in on everything that I've missed. I can say I had the best sex the other night and it has made my wife turn into a puppy love crush.
I know TLDR; CONGRATS ON THE SEX; weed is bad. You're a shitty person.
But most importantly thanks for reading

Lots of people I know are able to work through their problems with the help of marijuana. It's saved more marriages than alcohol has.

That's a really awesome story, OP. Marijunana is fricking awesome, and its absolutely inexcusable that it is still illegal. I am not big on Trump but if were to somehow get it legalized federally, I would be a big fan.

I got it from the streets. If I get a medical card it'd suspend my FOID.

Don't worry about the weed thing but try to keep it from your kids. I grew up resenting my parents because they smoked. There were times where as a kid, I questioned their priorities.
Many vets smoke so you're in good company...

At 40 years old, this is the strangest thing I have ever seen attributed to weed and I've heard some shite.
