Anyone ever taken NyQuil? Weird hangover..

I had a bad sore throat and the doc recommended this shite at night but there's no way I'd take this shite again. My heads been feeling fuzzy all day, kinda like a small high. One of the weirdest days ever, hopefully tomorrows better. At least I didn't need to do anything productive today. Just curious if anyone has had this happen to them after taking some kind of medicine?

Every single time I take that stuff, I feel extremely tired the next day. Groggy as hell, like I'm half asleep.

I have had sleep problems for many years. Now and again, when I run into 3 or more nights of consecutive bad sleep, I will hit the NyQuil to get some sleep.
If you take too much / too late, hangover symptoms. No different than a 6-pack, except better sleep.

Stopped taking that stuff 15 years ago. It used to give me the weirdest hangovers too. Made the mistake of taking some after 5 or 6 beers once. I was out of my skull fricked up.

Lol I took some about 2 hours ago and it hasn't done shite to me. Kinda pissed. I've never used it but my throat is super sore so I tried it out. fricking bullshite so far

Nyquil is the devil. I could drink a half gallon of Jack Daniels and still wake up feeling better than if I'd taken one shot of Nyquil.

the first time I took it, I actually hallucinated a bit during the night...now I take a half of the recommended dose and it works pretty well...
frankly, if I am bad enough to need Nyquil, I won't sleep a wink without it so it is kind of the lesser of two evils to me...

It's diphenhydramine. Otherwise known as Benadryl. Tylenol pms, NyQuil. And many other drugs contain it in varied quantities.

It has alcohol in it. Did you take the recommended amount or did you just down it? It's good for helping calm down a cough and making you a little dozy. Getting good sleep is hard when you are sick. I find that nyquil helps with that a lot.

I don't remember the last time I have taken NyQuil. The reason I hate taking it is because of how you feel the next day. Not only was it difficult to get up in the morning, for most of the day I felt as if I was going through the motions. It dried me up, but one time I woke up sort of gasping, like my lungs felt dry. The only reason I would ever take this shite again is if I really needed relief and it was my only option.
