If you were flying with your gf or wife, which row and seats would you select?

The 777 has a high barrier between B&C seats which makes communication difficult. Then the rows are not aligned, so selecting 3A and 3B make it diffcult to communicate.

Flying DL200 ATL-JNB and undecided on seats

Ideas or suggestions? TIA

I'd pick the ones that are most difficult to communicate between.

Just switch seats when you arrive.

The Delta 777 business product is set up for individual 'pods'. It'll be hard to communicate regardless, but take B and C so you aren't yelling across the aisle. Better yet take advantage of the lie flat seat and sleep the whole trip.

Yep. Made the same flight. Like the person before said take the middle seats. Don't matter in BC the way it set up. 15 hour flight bro. Drink all the free drinks and eat, watch a few movies and pass out. It's a long flight it sucks. I live here, curious what you coming over here for. Beautiful country lots to do. Be careful where you tred some places can be dangerous.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are heading down to catch a cruise Cape Town to Rio De Janeiro. First we are taking a safari to the Chobe Game Lodge and will also visit Victoria Falls.

We have flown on the 767-400 ER a few times, but will be our first together on a 777 LR. I have flown on the 777 once and remembered the high barrier between B&C.

Looking at Delta's seatmap and seatguru.com the fishbone seating arrangement makes it difficult to select seat combinations.

We are staying at "54 on Bath" for a couple of nights after arriving in JNB.

Sounds like a hell of trip you got planned. Vic falls is beautiful. Good choice on safari for around Jo-burg area. Gonna have to look into that cruise. Sounds fun. Like I said be safe, easy to end up in an area you should not be, but for the most part it is safe and no one going to mess with you. Keep all personal items close to you or locked in a safe. NEVER leave unattended it will go by by. The service people are poor and if they see the opportunity they will take it. This is truly the land of have and have not. Enjoy your trip.
