Go to Kiawah instead. In terms of quality and classiness, it's everything Myrtle Beach isn't.

Where are you staying? It's a long way and a ton of traffic between North Myrtle Beach and points south like Pawleys Island.
And how old are you?

Prepare to be underwhelmed.

Think of a beachtown that is also a regular mid-sized city. It's pretty much Pensacola except a long long drive with two lane roads for the last hour and half.

Been twice, once as a kid. They had this go kart track that had these hella fast F1/Indy style go karts that they would only let on the track one at a time doing TT style racing. The same place had a man made pond setup like a race track for these little speed boats that fully enclosed cockpit. Was so much freaking awesome fun, had to be a liability nightmare because they gave us all these warnings about how easy the boats flip.

Went back later in life and they were gone, no reason to go back to that place.

Cold water, not so white sand.

Florida Panhandle beaches >>>> the majority of Pacific/Atlantic beaches if you don't surf.
