Anyone else tired of listening to oil workers bitch about the cost of oil

Seeing it all over Facebook. Hearing it from friends and family all over...
I know we likely have many on here that are in the industry but...
You decided to enter a field that is one of, if not the most volatile industry out there. If you didn't prepare for a possible downfall then oh fricking well!
Don't bitch at me because I'm happy that I'm not spending $75 for a tank of gas!

Haven't heard much of that. I just see a bunch of people happy to see thousands of people out of work so they can save 20 bucks a week on gas.

When the day comes that you lose your job, if you have one, I'll be the first one on here to come laugh at you. No job market is safe and trying to earn a good honest living offshore shouldn't be criticized. They could be like some people who have no desire to work and laugh while they take a portion of your tax dollars.

Yeah. People who lose their jobs shouldn't be mad about it at all.
It's possible to enjoy saving $ at the pump while still having empathy for families who are going to suffer because of it.
Are some of the people idiots with their money? Sure. That's not exclusive to the O&G industry though. And like someone mentioned earlier, at least these people want to work.
