Anyone else notice that Off insect repellent doesn't smell awful like it used to?

I remember when I first used Off spray maybe 15 years ago it smelled fricking terrible. You had to made a tough decision on whether you'd rather get eaten alive by skeeters or smell like a chemical plant. Well I recently used some for the first time in a while and it didn't smell bad at all. Actually had a pretty nice scent to it. Even the "deep woods" kind with a shite load of deet smells fine. I couldn't find anything online about them changing their formula, but they must have

And it doesn't work as well as it used to either.

Even more true, and I swear that OFF is an attractant for those damn biting knats.

Hmm I didn't notice this. I used the deep woods kind and didn't have any ticks or mosquitoes bother me. Although it didn't seem to have any effect on gnats

gnats

There is a walmart version, just can't think of the name right now. I have a bottle in the boat and it works like a charm, and you have the option to go fishing or to the strip club and your wife can't tell the difference.

I used some sort of no scent Deep Woods Off this turkey season. I don't think I was bitten by more than a few mosquitos all season, but I did get 4 ticks

For gnats, you need Swamp Swatter. It even works on the gnats in the marsh.
Word of warning though, better let your old lady smell the bottle when you first buy some before she accuses you of hanging out with cheap whores.
