Sometimes you can't help but fail if only 1 half is putting in the effort.

So if that is the case it is only a failure on 1 side and worth celebration for the person who tried to make it work.

I always love the people that criticize someone for divorce. If someone isn't happy, why the hell would you stay?

Because I said some words in front of a priest?

always liked that part, here's a guy, never married, no kids, sworn to celibacy, who councils couples before marriage on marital issues, sex life, birth control, etc., must OK the marriage, and if the couple can't have kids and want to adopt, he councils them, makes sure they are deemed "suitable" parents, then must OK(sell the baby,) that makes good sense

Women are actually incentivized to leave. If they leave they get monthly payments even if they go into another relationship.

I have to kiss arse so that my wife has no reason to leave.

True. Some relationships are just never going to work out. Better to get moving towards conclusion than to stay miserable your whole life.

I guess if you aren't religious there's really no reason to work it out......except for having broken home kids

Louis CK

quote:

Divorce is always good news. I know that sounds weird, but it’s true because no good marriage has ever ended in divorce. It’s really that simple. That’s never happened – THAT would be sad. If two people were married and they were really happy and they just had a great thing, and then they got divorced, that would be really sad. But that has happened zero times. Literally zero.”

Not really. It's a formula. It's the lower income person gets paid. Make more, you'll pay. Just lose your job before getting divorced.

If they improved their situation in life, how can you call that a failure?

My ex and I got along better after the divorce. We went out pretty often.
