That's so impressive. Keep it up!

I just can't bring myself to pay that fee for, what seems to be, a weekly weigh in. I can do that at home.

Do you have to buy weekly? Can you just buy monthly or possibly bi-weekly?

The consultant sells the food.

In my case its at a chiropractic clinic.

Im as skeptical as they come but i watched 3 folks that i know lose weight fast so that where i went.

figure if I'm going to have to suffer it might as well be a minimum amount of time.

Maintaining once i get there will be another concern

When you buy, how long does it last? It looks like you will be spending roughly $100/week? Are you basically buying a weeks worth of flood at a time?

I have done less-than-ideal protein in the form of overcooked old meat that was really chewy.

Got a pretty good jaw workout though.

yes

at least to start out

remember , i just started and any kind of dieting is new to me

Im pretty happy with 6 lbs in 5 days though i will have to see if it continues.

The consultant says for males 4 to 7 lbs per week should be expected

Major props to you Box for what you have done to lose that much weight.

I went on the Ideal Protein diet a few yrs ago and lost around 35 lbs. Never bought the food they sell, just learned how to read labels and avoid the bad stuff.

It was crazy easy....once you change your eating. And that can be very hard, considering the world we live in.

Sure you can avoid all fast food for a short while or even a long while, but there will be private parties and simple get-togethers loaded with chips and dips of all sorts and breads and cheeses, and you have to learn that you can't eat any of it. You can have the fresh veggie tray ONLY...........followed by water....ONLY.

Do not kid yourself. It is a difficult change to make in this carb-loaded and calorie-loaded world, but it can be done. Take the approach that your eyes are now opened to the evils of the western diet, and you will shun it forever once you see the weight you lose, and get the idea that you won't need to buy a Hoveround scooter like everyone else at some point in your future.

Did you pay a lot less by doing it on your own? If so, would you mind emailing me a typical grocery list?

Lyle Mcdonald's "Rapid Fat Loss" ebook will set you back $30 bucks and relies on real food. You will loose MASSIVE amounts of weight as long as you can read and stick to the diet. Well, that's true for any diet. But with this one, you loose it very quickly even after the initial water weight drop.

No grocery list, sorry. Yes I paid less. I paid the $125 consultant fee, and then a few boxes of food for a short while. I bought boxes of protein powder packets, and boxes of protein snack bars from IP, then found the nutritional equivalent out in the community for cheaper, and bought that.

To this day, this is my routine: low-carb protein shake in the morning with water (not milk) which is about 110-130 calories.

Same thing for lunch, with a salad of greens and brocc and olive oil.

Snack at 3-3:30 is a Quest Bar.

When I hit the gym in the evening or hit supper at 6 pm, I have only consumed 500-600 calories all day, so consider that. Not bad, ay? You could do a 500-700 cal supper and still be below 1,500 cal per day diet.

This is a damn good job at controlling sugar intake, and all of the evils of sugar. But the hardest thing continues to be snacking into the evening and wine/alcohol consumption. If you can say no to all of this, your diet goals will be achieved very quickly.
