Well I'm not far removed from college. I know what they look like.

Also, I feel the same if they are seniors in HS which I seriously doubt unless they were from West Monroe and good at sports and started 1st grade at 12 years old.

Man, I am married with 4 young children who rely on me to not do stupid shite that would adversely affect their lives. No way in hell I am being held responsible for supplying a minor with something illegal, especially if he/she hurts or kills someone.

At your age, with no family....meh, I might have done it.

I could grow a beard by the time I was 14 and around the age of 15-16 I was at a liquor store getting some good for the weekend when after I walk out a couple of kids come walking up asking me to go buy them some alcohol and they'd pay me $10 bucks (1995 or 96, that was my gas for the weekend). I most certainly did it. I thought it was funny though, as I'm sure those kids were older than me.

I bought a kid who was just about my age cigarettes without even thinking about it. He gave me a $5 in tip

I was once on the opposite side of that equation. A good HS friend of mine's father was a big dog in the ABC in the late 90s. He had me and some friends of mine pose as an under-aged kids attempting to buy booze about half a dozen times my junior year. I actually ended up feeling bad about getting store clerks fired and getting other folks cited after a few weeks doing this. Made about $100 each time, though (not bad money for a 16 year old).

I worked at a court house and I was approached about doing this a few times a month. I told them to pay in booze instead. Needless to say, I'm not helping the man out.

Not since college, but I haven't been asked either. Maybe it's because I look as young as they do.

And surely every town had a nearby gas station that would sell booze to anyone.

ETA: I felt bad for being a narc, but you should be ashamed of yourself for assisting minors in carrying on criminal behavior (and looting them in the process).

You did this willingly? I bet you were incredibly popular in high school.

That's a nice way to get arrested. ATF uses kids in sting operations at gas stations.

I hate to be the "remember when" guy but we got away with a lot when were in high school.

Back then, if you had $3.00 for a sixer and could reach the counter, you pretty much had it made.

Me and my buds would go camping nearly every other weekend, stop at this old country store west of town, and get all the beer we wanted at 15 years old.

Things were much different back in the mid to late 70s.
