I thought I was posting this topic in the Outdoors Board. That is probably where it should be.
My mistake. Oh well.

Yep. Did it this April...

short hike
Just note that short does not mean easy. It's around 2.5 miles with about 1,500 feet in elevation gain, so it's a nice climb. Be sure to bring around 2-3 liters of water per person if you are doing this in August... by early afternoon it will be toasty on the way down in the full sun. Going down was difficult for us. Make sure you have good hiking shoes/boots or else your toes will be hurting after the descent.
ETA: I am afraid of heights. For some reason, when I got to Scout's Lookout (where the chains start), the height did not phase me at all. I can't explain it.

I found that you're so focused on your next step or grip that you really don't have time to look over the edge until you're in a more comfortable position.

Even still, I was comfortable sitting on the edge taking in the view at times. It's like it's too high and grand to even realize the height and where I was, perhaps.

Did you actually see the route up? It's not bad at all.
We took this from the top.

Did it with my Dad back around 1998. Wonderful Hike, as you say a little scary but well worth it.

I loved the hike but it is a little scary at a few spots and it is even worse when it's crowded. It sucks having to wait 20 minutes for a line of people to pass so you can walk up some stairs and hold onto a chain.

Like I said, it's not a bad hike.

Yep, did it a couple of years ago. I've been to many of the world's famous outdoors destinations and still think Angel's Landing is the most spectacular day hike anywhere in the world. Even at its narrowest point the trail is wider than a standard staircase so there really isn't any risk of falling, but the views are unbeatable.
I highly recommend starting up the trail as early as possible, I started at 8 am and was back down by lunchtime and was comfortable throughout. I pitied the people just starting up at lunchtime. Even though there's plenty of shady spots that couldn't have been fun.

I enjoyed the narrows more. I went 3hrs in last time but one day I'd like to do the top down.
