I have had a couple of coworkers and a grandparent who have had them...every single one of them said that they had waited far too long. Coworkers were back to 100 percent within 6 weeks or so...and these guys do some pretty physical stuff for a living. Grandmother wouldn't do her physical therapy, so she always walked the same way that she had before surgery (pretty bad limp), but she said there was no pain after the surgery.

As I said earlier, every person I know who has had a joint replacement says they waited too long and endured far too much pain as a result.

I'm not sure what 100% means.

In that case, my wife was 100% 5 weeks sooner than your coworkers.

Had a friend just do a double knee replacement.....They always recommend doing one at a time but she was like, F that.....If I have to do rehab I want to get them both done. With that said......She is way better.....But not perfect.

True, and the anesthesiologist. They almost didn't do mine because I have hardware in that area of my back from a spinal fusion.

You don't need a knee to have sex. All you need is a dick.

I had a TKR last November. My Rt. knee was bone on bone, arthritic,a source of pain, and finally wouldn't straighten.

Now I have a knee that works and doesn't hurt.

It won't affect your sex life unless you've got to run to catch her.

Both of my parents have a knee replacement.

Dad did all of the rehab exactly as he was instructed and continues to exercise (walking, stationary bike) and is much better off than pre-replacement.

Mom slacked on the rehab and you cant tell she ever had it done. Her mobility is just as bad as before although she claims to have less pain.

My dad has had 4 knee replacements. I don't know about the secks, but the rehab seemed to be pretty intense. Or maybe my dad is just a big baby. Either way, it does not sound fun.

My grandfather was shot in both knees by a German machine gun during the invasion of Anzio, Italy.

Post war, he was a mailman for 40years and a volunteer medic for the local ambulance company.

He didn't have his double knee replacement until 1994

Both surgeries were great successes with little complication.

Uncle had both done. He isn't doing cross fit but his mobility is normal and there's no more pain.

Rehab sucks from what I hear but there's just no getting around that

You're going to wake up screaming. They'll put Morphine(I believe) in your IV til you settle down.

When someone comes in your room later that same day and says they're going to get you up,your response may be similar to mine, which was "the hell you are".

After an agonizing trip to the chair on the other side of the room(with a walker),you're sitting down and it's ok.

I spent 3 days in the Hospital and 18 days inpatient at a Rehab.

At 6 weeks I was walking without a cane.And I haven't looked back.

It's all about the rehab of your knee. It's a mechanical joint so it works best when it is used often.I walk 1/2 mile on the Golf Course most mornings.

I'm 100% satisfied.I had mine done almost 14 months ago.
