Winter is miserable! Plain and simple. Cold, dreary, and dead. I lived in SW Florida for a year and will never forget calling my brother from the beach in mid January. It was like 83 degrees. My brother was in Atlanta where it was 30 and raining.

Winter can be tough. That said, I have no earthly clue how you all bare the summers in the southern states. It is so hot, you don't even want to do anything or be outside. It's a muggy, burning mess.

We went to Jazz Fest one year and it was absolutely unbearable. You'd shower, leave your hotel, and before you got into your car or cab, sweat would be pouring down your back. The beer couldn't get cold enough.

This.

It's fricking miserable here in the summer. Cutting the fricking grass or house upkeep is a bitch.

I got so fricking sick of cutting grass this summer that I actually researched putting artificial turf in my yard.

I like jacket weather because ever since cargo shorts went out of style I never have enough pockets.

There are so many little girls in this thread!

The cold is glorious!

I hate the heat, by the way.

No, I am not fat...

I was skiing and it was 8 degrees yesterday, no wind and comfortable. Actually sweated a bit. I love cold weather and winter.

What is this cold weather you speak of?

And rain for that matter.

I could deal with 60 degrees year-round and be just fine, I don't care about the seasons. Ive always sweated too easily when it's hot (no, I'm not fat), and being cold makes me not want to do shite as far as work/productivity. It's also extremely depressing to me when it gets dark at 5pm and my workdays take up 100% of the sunlight.

The only redeeming quality about winter is deer season, and summer is vacation on the beach.

If I lived somewhere it was cold....say below 0...for a few months then I would hate it. But it doesn't get that cold in Dallas.

This. I don't like warming up my car so I can see the windshield in a deep freeze.

Pumping gas also sucks in the cold weather.

Bunch of pussies in this thread. I love cold weather. I have appropriate clothing so I don't feel cold.

It was 15 degrees Thursday on my 2 mile walk in to work. Wore jacket and gloves and hat and didn't feel cold one inch. Started sweating a bit when I got inside and getting onto the elevator.

I like the four seasons. Brisk, colorful fall followed by sitting in front of the fireplace, playing my guitar and watching the snow fall outside during the winter.

I can put on clothes to fight cold weather, I can't win against Louisiana summers. It's cool as frick to sweat your arse off just from going outside to grab your mail...super cool. I don't mind sweating from working out or activities. Sweating just from being alive, though? That's how it is during the summer here. Colorado summers? frick yea.
