Not really losing connectivity, just the Internet has slowed down

happens pretty commonly at night/late night...almost daily...my guess is they do some kind of updating or maintenance at night

couple weeks ago it started happening during the day and they checked and said that for some reason my signal was weak and they would send someone out to look at it in a couple days. Immediately after that call the internet worked beautifully for about a week then went back to shite

8 months with cox and I ca say the internet has never worked consistently for more than a week. Which is annoying because I mostly watch hulu and netflix

Yeah, their big fix is to send a technician that you pay for btw if the problem is on their end or your end...so I tell them no thanks.

I keep my firmware updated and always keep an eye on my speeds and I make sure to update my hardware(router and modem every 18-24 months). I just upgraded over the summer so I doubt a technician can do anything other than bill me.

I talked to some old lady with their technical assistance and she said she's received a few calls about slow internet tonight and said it might be on their end but she doesn't know because they don't tell them anything

Yes, I actually have. Haven't had any issues in about 3 years. Was about to call support, but power cycled my modem and that temporarily solved my inconsistent speed issues. 2-3 days later started acting up again.

I was having issues yesterday evening in the Bluebonnet/Airline area - seems to be a lot better this morning though.

I am here in BR. I was hoping it's either them doing maintenance or possibly something weather related.

I had Cox in a house I just sold and it would stop working at random times. It would not work on one device but connect to another. I moved into a rental house while building my new home that was wired for AT&T. Not one problem in 2 months. Always a strong singal for my WiFi. Their customer service may be the worse I have ever dealt with though. I'm not sure what to do for the new house.
