Any way to get my pulleys to hang straight down?

Any ideas on how (if it is even possible) to make my pulleys hang down instead of inward due to the tension?

So you want to defy physics?

Affix them to something rigid and not a hook?

install the pulley's into the ceiling and not hang them on a hook

getting some that don't pivot would be all I can think of

They are hanging from a hook. Solid mount them to the ceiling and they won't tilt

wire the cable in place on the small pulley

Change the setup. The pulleys look like a bad homemade setup and are not achieving the "rustic" look you were going for. Sorry, not trying to be an a-hole.

Yeah. Take the cord off of them. Otherwise, No.
They look fine to me as is.

Your pulleys are floppy and limp. You need pulleys that are rigid and straight.

can I ask what the wire is attached to?
I don't get the look, honestly

I agree with this, similarly in the nicest way possible.

I politely concur.

ETA: I don't own the place so I wasn't gonna pay an electrician to install a ceiling outlet.

Is that a plug-in accent lamp you are using as a chandelier?
