Anyone set the alarm earlier than when you need to be up for whatever just to make sure you can hit snooze a few times?

Does that 9 extra minutes help you wake up more rested or something?!

You dummies.

No but sleep cycle is the greatest app ever invented. Regular alarm I wake up grouchy and not wanting to get up. Sleep cycle I wake right up feeling extra refreshed.

5 more minutes in the morning means 15 more minutes at night.

I don't hit the snooze button but say I need to wake up at 3:00. I'll set my alarm for 2:50, 2:52, 2:55, 2:58, and 3:00. I guess it's like snoozing but my version of it.

Snooze just helps me lazily get out of bed instead of jumping right up.

Nope.

I usually wake up and just lay there awake for about 15 min.

Maybe not quite greatest ever, but I like it and it seems to help. I still tend to lay there, but generally feel better when I do get up.

If I know I dont have to get up and set my alarm I sometime hit the snooze button over 10 times. After the first few times I subconsciously do it.

I have a bad habit of turning my alarm off in my sleep. I have to force myself to get up on the first ring.

How does it know it's the right time to wake you up?

I used to snooze every five minutes for about 45 minutes daily... then I got a dog and have to wake up around 6 if I want to avoid cleaning up doggie pee.

You put your phone face down on your bed, you set an alarm and it wakes you up in a 30 min window where you're not in rem sleep or deep sleep. It also starts very lightly and then gradually gets louder. Only app I've ever bought. Only 99cents but I love it. Also give you stats on how well you sleep

Does it use movement to determine your REM cycles or something?

eta: so let's say I have to be up at 7:40a... What time do I set the alarm on that app?

My roommate starts his phone alarms at 5, and doesn't get up until 8:30. They go off every half hour

That's him just setting multiple alarms... One after another in 30min intervals.
