Even the Manson Family bypassed Barstow when they went to live out in the desert.

I always stop at the In-N-Out burger at the Lenwood exit on the way to Vegas.

Edwards AFB in 1984 and 1985. As others have said, not much in the immediate area but great places not far away. My office was right by the flight line, so we got to see a few of the Space Shuttle landings up close and talk to the crew after.

Do they still have those in Barstow? I was in Bridgeport and all the police in Barstow were civs from what I remember.
