Sounds like a great opportunity. I would do it.
I know the employees at the A-B brewery in Tampa were allowed (encouraged?) to sip beer during work hours.

They did assure me in the first interview that if you don't like beer you simply will hate this job, and even hinted at perks in beer and being able to taste new seasonal recipes they tinker with.

I went into the chemical industry when I graduated. Engineering for a brewery sounds like it could be exciting. I'll drink to that!
