Print out pupil distance ruler and have someone give you the measurements.

I have rulers from two different websites printed out, and was thinking I'll just go this route. I know my prescription hasn't changed enough to warrant another exam (I've had a lot in a short period of time).

I also hear a good way is to stand a bit back from the mirror and wear a shitty pair of glasses. Mark a black dot with a market where your pupils are in your glasses.. then take them off and measure the distance between the dots.

I'll be doing the ruler for now

I also hear a compass (like the math kind) works perfectly.

Vision is good enough to see when your ole lady is home alone.

A real OT baller would just get LASIK and be done with it.

I'd hold the ruler up and take a zoomed selfie from 10 feet. If your camera has a shutter delay, it's not hard to do by yourself. Or you could have someone else do it. The idea is to measure the PD when gazing at infinity. When you're looking at close-up objects, the PD draws in, typically 3mm or so.

Can you get an exam at Costco if you're not a member? If they'll promise to give me my PD when I get an exam, I'll be there tomorrow

When I ordered my glasses I just went to my local Walmart eye center and got my RX and PD. They had no issue with measuring my PD.

Frames Direct tells me I can just take a selfie with a CD under my chin and send it to them and they will determine my PD. Sounds sketchy ... I may do it anyway

And in a year, you'll find your picture on a dork wall.

Seriously, there's no reason it can't more or less work. One can draw vertical lines down and measure the distance in between. The ratio of this and the photographed CD diameter multiplied by the physical CD diameter would give the PD. You would need to hold the CD exactly parallel to your face, though.

All the way. Great customer service, name-brand frames.

Warby Parker frames, while inexpensive, seemed cheap.

Really thinking about moving to contacts. The few times I have tried to put them in it's been a massive pain in the arse

Zenni Optical

Really really cheap but very good quality.

Bought 2 pairs for $53 total a few weeks back which includes the $4 shipping.

Both pairs are perfect.

Zenni.

I have 2 pairs from them and just ordered another pair 2 days ago.

In total between the 3 less than 100$ including the shipping.
