Got an interview set up for an operator job at a Bunge grain plant close to home later this week. Anybody got any insight on the company and what to expect in the interview? TIA

Are you looking to run equipment, such as their ship loaders and material handlers? Have you ever worked at a grain elevator or some type of dry bulk terminal?

The job that I'm interviewing for is "operator 1". I'm assuming it will be elevator operations.

I worked in a frac sand plant for a year and know all about conveyors, elevators, and separators. Also worked in the oil field for a little while before it fell out and got laid off.

Whatever you do, don't let them talk you into working the Bungehole.

I sell pumps and equipment for their processes in locations outside LA. They've always been wiling to spend money to do things the right way. Always professional and willing to listen to good advice. Completely contrary to other companies with food products I've dealt with who use your proposals to ultimately buy some surplus used shite that probably got people sick. I'm looking at you BB! Personal anecdote aside, my experience with other divisions indicate Bunge is a solid company.

I thought you were interviewing for a job at Bungie, the software company. Then you mentioned "Plant Operator", and I'm like awesome blue collar skills homie!

I did a lot of work for Bunge way way back.

Good outfit then, I'm told that they're still good to work with/for today.

Goofy name, that's all I got.

Capital process equipment, specifically ancillary stuff like flow meters, pumps, dampeners, etc. I'm lucky to have found myself into this field, all the joys of Oil bull without the worry of the Oil bear.

Good luck - out of college I worked for Cargill in Reserve before being shipped to Va, WA, Oregon and South Dakota - I enjoyed the grain business just got tired of the dust
