Holy shite you weren’t exaggerating. Just opened the box. The online picture didn’t look bad but this is one tedious mofo. Just fixed another drink and am hoping for the best. Oh, and after this, I have to fold up 30+ tiny cardboard boxes of “grocery items”

My wife and I assembled a play kitchen once and almost came to blows. Kid is 7 now so she wants Barbies and stuff so it’s much easier now, thank God haha

A Barbie house whipped my arse a few years ago. One year I had full intentions of doing a trampoline on Christmas Eve.
After feeling the weight of the boxes I said no way at 12:00 and half drunk. I just leaned the boxes up around the tree. But my daughter had a blast Christmas Day putting it together with me. So it worked out.

I posted this in the LN thread but it’s worth mentioning here as a warning of possible things to come

Huffy 18 inch bike. Yeah it’s Chinese claptrap but I’ve assembled 10 of these similar bikes in 10 years for 3 kids and consider myself an expert savant. Not this time as this one was the biggest pita. Some cheap plastic collars, plastic threaded inserts, and spring pins to install the handlebars. Whatever happened to a steel shaft and using a wrench to tighten it up? First time I’ve gotten one of these things that didn’t require tools of any kind to assemble the entire bike and look where it’s gotten me. What’s taken me 10 minutes before took me 45 and I was sweating.

ETA even the pedals were self deployed, folding out and clicking into place. I’ll be surprised if this thing makes it to next Christmas.

We just completed this rainbow doll house. Looked daunting but overall wasn’t terrible.
