re: Annual fireworks are keeping my kids awake thread

That's just absurd. Yes, I empathize with the frustration of having the cacophony of various fireworks go off well into the night, but it's New Years, for Christ sake. Stop being such a self-absorbed turd.
You knew this was coming and you did the EXACT same shite when you were a non-parent. You didn't give a rat's arse about people with babies and toddlers when you were out there popping them.
I do not expect other people to amend how they ring in the New Year because I decided to pop out two kids. It's not like I have to listen to this shite day in and day out. It's one night.
I have a 4 year old and 2 year old. So believe me, I understand "the struggle", but I'm also not a whiny twat. If they wake up a few times throughout the night, they can take a nap tomorrow, or *gasp* go to bed early tomorrow.
Next year, parent better and introduce a sound machine and crank the volume.
Jesus, lighten up, people.

My 1 year old is outside loading his tonka truck with rocks. Pop away!

15 minutes into patrol and we already have our first perps. Their fat faces are going to be red when the sherriff show up in 5 minutes. The kicker is they are Ole miss fans.

Shut down their party and write them several citations....disturbing the peace...noise violations....possession and use of illegal fireworks...

Sounds like a fun neighborhood. The president of our HOA organizes a block party each year. We might start organizing a patrol to gather more fireworks.

All this shite is falling on my roof because my neighbor decided to buy out the fireworks stand. Normally this doesn't bother me but they are going too far tonight.

Major fire hazard. Houses have burned down and lives lost due to this crap.

I never lit fireworks actually so nothing about me changed there. Turns out I have always been considerate of neighbors because I was raised that way.
It also turns out my 1 year old won't just sleep later or take a nap tomorrow. She's not a good sleeper even with the noise machine. If she wakes up we pay the price and I go to work in the morning.
Also I didn't call the cops. No need since it turns out my neighbors all got together and did turns out it wasn't even people that live in this neighborhood but they came here to fire them for over an hour straight so I'm glad they did.

Much earlier it was keeping them up, but I put on some jazz for them.

I just let go with a 100 round burst through my M-240. No issues here.
