I think the best beach is at the beginning of 30a, in the Dune Allen area. No one is ever there and the sand is calf deep. The dune lake outlet at Grayton would be my son's choice.

Chiringo is in the old Shortys. It's decent. An upgrade. Pandoras is now AJs. Good sushi. My friend is building a bar at Ed Waline. (Gulf Place) Should be open mid-summer. Pretty much same ol same other than that. Seagrove market cafe is open in a new building. Surfing Deer is the old V restaurant. Grayton Seafood Company in uptown Grayton is pretty new and good. Trebeache in Redfish Village is my go to for Sunday brunch. The other classics are still going strong.

I've got my yeti cooler with my salt life sticker on it. I've been waiting for this thread all year.

Grayton Beach. No high rises, quaint, good shopping, the Red Bar, family atmosphere, pet friendly, good restaurants, the inner dune lake. Watch out for the big alligator on the east side.

Kevin Beach, played a mean third base for Pilney Little League at Lafreniere Park (''84-'87).

Goodness, do people just see how many strangely named places they can hit in 4 days And post on Facebook? And what's with this 30A shite and vehicle stickers and all? Going to the freaking beach anywhere and putting a sticker is like putting a Walmart sticker on your car.

If you have to simmer in Florida, stay in Boca or palm beach.

Yeah I'm replying to myself, but for example... oh I usually go to Rivage Noir to get warm towels for my family's bath and we go to faberge Renoir for coffee before heading to Sauvignon Blanca for breakfast and then we're off to le' Franzia for lunch, after which we go to la spa de soleil....and then we go fake pictures at 30A to prove we were at a beach.

Honolulu is a shithole, as is Waikiki. Unless you're into meth, then it's paradise. I'd rather go to Galveston's brown-arse beach.

Maui on the other hand......

Yeah Waikiki is very touristy but is still very beautiful. There is a reason why its the worlds most famous beach. I brought the kids this year.

Wife and I went to Maui (stayed at Grand Wailea) 5 years ago. Definitely was upperclass and top notch.

Why do people put any stickers on their stuff?

Ooh, yeah, that's high cotton. It's as easy to book a place on the beach in the T&C as it is on 30a for $200 a night.

Waikiki is the trash beach of Hawaii for sure.

Leaving again for Kauai on Memorial Day with my wife and kids for a two week stay. Maui is good too.

Touristy, popular, crowded =/= trashy

Destin, Panama City, Gulf Shores sure but Waikiki not so much.

Venture off into Honolulu and yeah it may get sketchy but Waikiki was very pleasent and respectable.
