There is no law against being an a-hole or a bitch.

As to hostile work environment, the burden of proof is on the plaintiff and not that easy to prove.

The person's best bet is to just find another job.

I had that issue at a job years ago, and decided finding another job was a more effective solution for me instead of a bunch of useless fighting. Remember, like a number of other states, LA is an employ at will/fire at will state as long as nothing in Title VII is violated. In my case, the boss was eventually fired for Medicaid fraud. That said, I found a much better job and my only regret was that I was not in it a few years earlier.

There is no protection from these types. They are bullies. I worked with several in different jobs and the only solution is to quit the job.
