If you're not watching WS, this should be very, very interesting. Being over there during that time would've been hell on earth.

ETA: Chesty Puller, GOAT Marine.

At the Chosin Reservoir Colonel Puller said:

Haven't heard his name one time so far. But I'm a little behind.

I've seen this before, but since Cleveland is caking their pants I'm watching it again.

These m'fers are pretty haunting to listen to.

Reruns on LPB at 1 am up here, so you can still record it.

My dad served in a artillery battalion in Korea. He said that when he woke up in the morning that frost would be 1/4" thick on inside of his pup tent. Everything outside of his sleeping bag was frozen solid. He said they figured if the zipper heads didnt get them the cold would. He made it though and had me by mistake at age 51

Whenever I think of a Top 5 Hell on Earth type experience...the Frozen Chosin is up near the top of the list.

Redundant, we all know that all Arky fans are Nature's mistakes.

Army's recent donation to the national political landscape-

PS: (seriously) Thanks for his service.

Officer: "Col. Puller, we're surrounded."

Chesty: "Poor bastards...now we've got 'em right where we want 'em. We can shoot in every direction."

Watched this last night. The soldier crying hysterically about what he had to do to keep the path of their retreat open was gut-wrenching.

Those guys talking about taking their boots off and their damn toes broke off inside the boot... Jesus

I'm not nearly as familiar with the Korean War as I am with WWII. The bastards of Bastogne's experience is like a family vacay to Disney World compared to The Battle of Chosin Reservoir

Jeff Shaara (his dad wrote the Killer Angels and Jeff has written a lot of books in the same genre like Gods and Generals) will be doing a book on the Korean War next. I can't wait for it.
