Amazon doesn't charge taxes on every item though.

Just picked one up. For 50 I wasn't interested, but for 35 I couldn't resist. Plus I saved an extra 5 bucks for being a prime member.

How would I benefit with a Fire when I already have an iPad Air?

I would imagine people are buying these for their kids or to use as a kindle or just to have a cheap tablet. Obviously it's not gonna be anywhere near the same quality as an iPad or iPad mini.

wouldn't celebrate not having an Amazon warehouse in your state. That means you are not eligible for free same day delivery with Amazon Prime. Which is a pretty awesome service to have.

I can live with receiving it in 2 days and not paying taxes.

My two boys could destroy an airplanes black box. Wen they break this thing I'll only be out $35. Plus I may use one for the family white elephant steal a gift thing and watch people go bat shite crazy.

Yea I had bought the kids version for my daughter but figured for Facebook and basic browsing can't beat 30 bucks for this one. It's nowhere near an iPad but it's 10x cheaper so that's expected.

If you want to say not enough storage I get that, but no tablet includes a case.

Last year around this time of the year, most of the stuff I ordered with Amazon prime I received next day.

My kids have broken 6 kindles between the two of them.

I imagine this is the appeal to parents.

Question: Can I load ebooks and audiobooks from "outside" sources on the Fire?
