I've been a Prime member since 2008. It used to be money, but over the past year it's really begun to slip. I live in Dallas and NEVER order third party. I ALWAYS buy from Amazon directly. I ONLY pay for Prime b/c of the guaranteed 2 day shipping. I don't care about streaming media.

This month, I've ordered 14 times. Of those 14 orders, 5 arrived within 2 days. 6 arrived in 3 days, 1 took 4 days, and 2 took over a week. I've discovered that the late deliveries were NOT the shippers(UPS, USPS, AMZ) fault, as has been the case in the past, but rather 100% Amazon's fault. The items will show as "preparing for shipment" for days. Even when it's showing as guaranteed by 8pm that night, the item will still show as preparing for shipment at 7:59pm. Amazon even now sends out emails apologizing for delays, but it's happening more and more frequently.

I've called to complain and sometimes they seem sorry, but more often than not these days, they basically just say oh well, too bad, You can return the item when it arrives.

I doubt I'll renew this year as 2 day shipping seems to be mostly miss nowadays. I've been using Google Express and think I may sign up. I can get almost everything I need from them faster than Prime.

I really think Amazon has too many Prime members plus their living off their stellar customer service reputation of 5 yrs ago. Eventually the fanboys will see what's happening.

It says 2 day will be delivered on Monday.. it is Wednesday and item is in stock.

ordered item on Monday. Prime item. Says delivery next Monday. Broke kinda has a point making this thread.

And they think they being slick now.

Do you see a shipping charge? Nope. Item was a prime item not it's not and they decreased the price for the belt and added shipping.

I ordered 2 things two days ago: one said would be delivered today and it was while the other said it would be delivered thursday but IT WAS DELIVERED TODAY.

Of my last 16 orders, 12 were delivered in 2 days, 3 were delivered in 3 days and 1 was delivered in 1 day. That is an average of 2.125 days.

Before that, I can only remember one prime package get delivered later than 3 days, and that was a phone which eventually took 7 days and it was the shipping company's fault. From that experience I got a $10 credit and 3 months of Prime for free.

Perhaps you frickers are the vocal minority.

I have never even complained when things were late. I just noticed it at checkout (probably due to this thread ) , and thought how the hell is Monday 2day.. so I contacted them to see the reason. Didnt really get one though.
