Am I crazy or did you used to lean 'out of town' mail against left side of

mailbox and 'in town' on the right?
i hardly ever use my mailbox to mail stuff anymore but i suddenly had a recollection from my childhood (or maybe it was a dream) of sorting the mail this way when you put things in your mailbox.

yeah growing up there was a 70601 slot and a non-70601 slot. the non-70601 stuff would be sorted at the big center and the 70601 stuff would be sorted at that PO. then they began sorting everything in lafayette (or BR, i forget) and it was irrelevant and the distinction was eliminated

You dreamed it.
Last night I dreamed that I got a set of Beats headphones in the mail that I didn't order. I sent them back, but soon was sent another pair that was an upgrade from the first. This repeated itself until I was sent the top of the line Beats and I kept them.

This makes no sense. I grew up in 71105, why would i have a 70621 slot?

The post office had a slot for Intown and out of town mail

This... We had a local slot and a out of town slot. We never put anything in the mailbox except maybe a box payment.
