Am I bad at finding dates or is this a common trend?

For the most part I expect responses that just comfort the poster's ego to this. I'm 6'3, fit, petroleum engineer, 25 and I don't have the time or the ability to meet girls so I use dating apps (bumble and hinge). I've asked out 3 girls in person, but it's a lot more convenient to use the apps.
I used to match with a girl and message back and forth a couple days then I would ask them out. Most say yes if we were messaging. When the date comes up I get backed out on or they have no response to me confirming the date. It literally happens 99% of the time. I've learned I'm just wasting my time if I don't immediately ask them out right when we match.
Do females just lack integrity to not follow through on a "yes" or is it a fear of meeting a man they don't know? Women don't appreciate the fact men have to do all the work to ask out and set it up.

It’s always about the shiny objects on dating sites. If you wait more than a day or two to go out with them they’ve already met 10 other guys that they’re into.

It’s because they have options. Even a plain jane looking gal who is simply not fat will have dozens, if not hundreds, of potential matches to choose from. They may start conversations with a dozen or more guys at a time. If they flake on you, it’s probably nothing you did or didn’t do. It’s just a numbers game. They simply saw a match more enticing and chose to pursue that instead or they were distracted by all the other matches and forgot about you. Don’t take it personally. Just move on.

Your conversations are probably too shallow. Once you’ve built enough of a connection with someone, they won’t back out. You’re probably asking them out too quickly and they say yes as a placeholder before realizing they just aren’t interested or they would rather pursue other options.
That’s applicable if you’re looking for an actual relationship and not a hookup.
I realize most people will say the opposite, but I almost never got backed out on and I’m probably a 7/10 looks wise at best.
