So, does this open up importation through local distributors?

My understanding is that Cuba can now sell cigars to American distributors and visa versa. Now, with some of the latest FDA shenanigans involving premium cigars.....they may not want to send them. I'm not sure how that is all going to work out.

That's the beauty of cigars and cigar culture. No one can tell you you are wrong. You like what you like, and that's all that matters.

Oh wow. I wonder why it took so long to get to LA.
Because of the I-10 bridge traffic....

Negatory Red Rider. A true Montecristo Havana is second to none. Montecristo #2 classic yellow label comes in second.

Swisher Sweets has already begun the process of getting back into operations in Havana.

I disagree. If Havanna Club prices aggressively I think Bacardi could be in for a very rough time. A $20ish bottle of HC crushes Bacardi.

Isn't there some sort of trademark dispute between the family that owns Bacardi and fled Cuba and the Bacardi that's still made at their old Cuban facility and sold as Bacardi? How does that get sorted out now, I wonder?

Maybe to some degree. But most cigar shops in other parts of the world will still feature Cubans, so it's not really an embargo thing.

we're the only country with an embargo, you can get Cubans almost anywhere, lots of bogus Cuban cigars too, "made from tobacco from Cuban seeds," floor scrapings, etc., I like a good Cuban that I've actually watched the guy roll right in front of me though

There are some wonderful Cuban rums outside of the standard Havana Club offerings. Legendario is stupid good and I can't wait to have it more accessible.

Cuban Cigars are the Best in the World & Davidoff were the best of the best; when they were made in Cuba.

Likewise, Cuban Rum is also the Best in the World.

Cuban Coffee is awfully good, too.
