It's funny.

I love how people are treating this as if Al approves of Weinstein's actions

I have a feeling the people offended by this aren’t typical NFL fans to start with.

Normally I would say an institution like Michaels survives, but Howard Cosell’s career ended on another call taken badly, “Look at that monkey run!”

All these Harvey Weinstein jokes are showing how antisemitic people really are

Agreed. A good portion of the internet generation has trained itself to do so.

His career is going to be as dead as...something that would probably get me banned

I think it was pretty bad and Collinsworth should be removed from the booth for it.

I mean, he's making a joke about a freshly outed, alleged rapist. Do you really not see that as a sensitive topic?

Maybe its a generational thing, but no. It's a joke. We all make jokes. It wasn't even terribly offensive because it was at Weinsteins expense.

Some people just love to be offended.

I agree. I mean who doesn't love a joke about someone being raped.

Thats like saying every joke about OJ is a "joke about someone being murdered". Its intentionally obtuse.

It's a goddamned joke. SNL does far worse on a weekly basis.

If it was your daughter, sister, or mother, then you wouldn't find it funny or think that it's "just a joke." This is what hypocrisy looks like. There are formats where you can get away with this sort of thing, while it would still with good reason be controversial. Something like Sunday Night Football is not that. I don't really care, but you have to be pretty thick to not see that this would get a negative reaction. And this is definitely not a generational thing. People would have been more sensitive to this kind of crass joke 50 years ago.

I'm with you on this one. I don't consider it offensive or inappropriate.

Very weary of the perpetually offended. If you don't find it funny move on with your life. Jesus.
