Instead of filming encounter why not call police and let them handle it

I agree with your assessment. We don’t need people running around trying to make a citizens arrest for nonviolent crimes.
The point I’m trying to make is that the law is vague and it doesn’t specify that you have to witness the crime. It says “or immediate knowledge”. That’s pretty vague.
Everything involved in this case is shitty including the written law which probably needs to be rewritten

Their case was high profile so they unfortunately get the max sentence
The same people who spent years wearing "Free Mumia" shirts are the ones calling for max sentences for these guys, all because of the color of their skin and the victim's skin. You either believe in ending mass incarceration or you don't.

Yeah, its pure racial bullshite.
Dudes are guilty, but not life without parole guilty.

There is plenty of case law in GA (can provide the cites if you are interested) that deals with this, more than enough for a judge to make a solid interpretation of the law in his jury instructions. GA courts have held the two terms to be synonymous. The codified law is a little messy but the case law clears it up. Honestly, 50% or more of codified law could use some tweaking but the legislature has to be careful since it often results in unintended consequences like the unintended changes to the WI law regarding minors in possession of firearms.

Why not? They murdered a guy.

Taking race completely out of it, they hunted a guy down (armed and in trucks), laid in wait for him as he was running away, and then ambushed him. They openly admitted on the stand they had no prior knowledge of him committing an actual crime.
They should absolutely get life without parole.

Maybe you could cry some crocodile tears for the judge and he’ll change his mind.

Wasn't ole ahmaud boy stealing shite? Got his shite settled for life too
I just haven't seen any convincing evidence he was. He trespassed on a residential construction site, briefly, which places him in the same category as millions of curious teenagers and nosy architects.

Wasn't premeditated, no previous track record of gun violence.
The severity was based on overly emotional race hucksters.

You would. Men wouldn't.

They had zero knowledge of any crime other than trespassing. Of which many others had previously done.
Why are you white knighting these racist murderers?

You people need to learn what premeditated means.

So they just wanted to have a nice fireside chat with the man? While tracking him down, fully armed?
Sure, Roger. That’s a stretch even for you.

Teah, I mean, We all just randomly hang out on paths mounted up in our steel steeds with shotguns right?

I’m curious… How long do you think would be reasonable for these guys to be behind bars?

They attempted to illegally detain someone. And murdered them in the process. They showed intent to harm by approaching him with firearms in hand and even driving ahead and approaching him when he attempted to run around their caravan. Then they openly admitted in court they had no prior knowledge of him committing a crime.
Yes. That deserves life without parole. This isn’t someone who saw or had direct knowledge of AA committing a felony crime (or even a violent crime I could justify). They admitted they hunted down someone just for showing up in their neighborhood.
frick ‘em.

What evidence do you have it was premeditated, outside of your personal bias an inability to see between extremes?
