Nothing wrong with doing it. I am not dependent on it and do great in school without it. I just have a shite ton to do today and it keeps me more focused.

Why even bother going to a doctor when it isn't hard to find a teenager that will get you some?

I agree, I'm 30 and have been taking it on and off since I was 15 or so throughout high school and college. When deadlines need to be met taking adderall is like cheating, haha.

Vyvanse's time-release is accomplised by the binding of an amino acid to the dexamphetamine. Removing that is gonna require a lot more than putting it up your nose.
Boom.

I'm old school and have always taken 10mg generic adderall. Usually half of one in the morning and half in the afternoon.

Time release is for the birds

I have ADD and was diagnosed around 1990. I take it as needed.

5'11 185lbs and do 15mg twice a day(8am and 3pm) usually three days a week. Some days I don't take any at all(weekend), and some days I only take 1 15mg pill. It isn't something that needs to be maintained to keep working. It'll work 30 minutes after you take it

I don't need it when I am say....working on a car. When I do need it is when I have HW or have a lot of studying to do. If I don't, I'll start, and stop 20 minutes later to do something else, then come back, then do something else, etc.

My biggest problem is my memory. I wish there was a pill for that

Eta: snorting Vyvanse is disgusting. Snorting generic Adderall is not, or so I have been told

I remember the first time taking it after a 3 year hiatus or so I was up for well over 24 hours. I took as directed too. 10mg in the AM and 10 in the afternoon.

I now only half, 5mg in the AM. Rarely do I take the other half in the afternoon.

I take it every day for work or to get things done.

I always had great grades as a kid, but the teachers would put me in the back because I couldn't sit still and would randomly walk around during class

When I was younger and taking it all of the time, I'd take a 30XR and a 30 regular in the morning, followed by a 30 regular at 3pm.

Quit for a while, and when I started back at 24, I started with 5mg as needed. Eventually I moved to 7.5, 10, and after 6 years I am taking 15mg. Your body just builds up immunities

I don't rely on prescriptions to solve my problems. I handle them like an alpha male.

Why is it that Chinese, Korean and Indian kids somehow manage to sit still in class and whip our asses in science, math and engineering and they don't need drugs to shut the frick up and pay attention?

God damned pansies...

Alpha males don't post on message boards about how they're alpha males.

First, at Indian kids being included in that list. Also, their school days last almost 10 hours...

Second, I scored in the 99% on every standardized test I took as a kid without taking any medicine.

I didn't start taking medicine until late high school

maybe so, but I have a hot wife, a great job, and a great home. Guess being a pansy is the way to go

People that have never had ADHD or never had a kid that had it just doesn't understand. They think it is bad parenting or something.

I don't have it, my wife doesn't have it, my daughter doesn't have it. If I don't give my son his medicine it is very noticeable. We kind of thought he had it when he was 3 or 4 but never got him diagnosed until recently. His grades improved dramatically.

My tutor was a teacher in Jefferson Parish for a few years and never understood it until he started working with me consistently. I guess the little kids weren't able to vocalize it as well. One day he called me up and said he figured it out and was going to change the way he was tutoring me because of it. Has worked out for the better
