It's a machine that cuts and sorts...not meant for human limbs

I don't know what a fish counter sorter is, but being sucked into anything sounds terrible.

Protein source for cat and dog food. Worked next to one in high school. When the boats came in and they started cooking was not uncommon for us to start projectile vomiting all over the yard. Once one threw up others would follow.

So nasty!

I learned something new.

I've only used them for crawfish bait. I might get some for my wife. She like making stuff.

menhaden

Yep, the Gulf menhaden (Brevoortia patronus) is in the herring family with shad and such. All menhaden are economically important fish, from use as bait to going into dog food and chicken feed.

Damn! I figured it was gruesome but was hoping it didn't involve a grinder.

According to the PPSO Facebook page: They were just performing maintenance on the fish counter/sorter and became trapped. They have one of the two out. The first one is currently at University Hospital with severe injuries to his right leg. The second is still trapped but they are still verbally communicating.

I hope they can save their legs.

Anyone know how big these machines are? They had one on the Houma nav years ago and it was the worst smelling plant I've ever passed. I don't see how the workers get that smell off of themselves.

They have to stick their faces in a hooker's crotch for a breath of fresh air.

I think this is about the best we could have hoped for...I would have to worry about some major infections setting in now, though...
