Graduated last year and had been working in event production since. Got tired of it, knew I didn’t want to make it a career and finally got a call from a job I had really wanted in technology. It’s a good feeling having stability and feeling like I’m advancing finally. Baws, what is good advice on how to handle investing now with more income coming in? I’ll have a 401k but want to find other ways to help money grow.

Put in as much you can for your 401k. Take advantage of the benefits.

Only put into the 401k what your employer will match. IRA for the rest.

If there is a 401k match, contribute up to that match, then put money into a Roth IRA. After that, buy real estate.

Also, good luck. I hope you don't get laid off since this country is going to shite.

Ask your new co-workers what they think of Roth's and then sit back and listen for hours.
