A relative of mine is into feng shui and insists on reconfiguring the hotel room to their feng shui liking when they travel for work. I'm talking about once they check in the room they remodel it and have to wake up extra early to change it to its normal layout.

Have you all heard some crazy OCD rituals?

I'm bad about going back over and over to check if a door is locked.

My alarm is near my garage door and when I set it at night I always open the door and make sure the car doors are closed and every light is off. The thing is, I always open it twice, because I guess in my head I never know what went on after the first time I looked. In the morning when I set it to leave, I always walk back to both doors and make sure they are locked.

Volume levels and thermostat have to be set on even numbers. Also, when i pump gas I have to get the amount to the nearest dollar amount.

I don't like any odd number. Volume levels always on even numbers. Even get even numbered golf carts when I golf.

None of these are OCD except for the person who rearranges the hotel furniture. You other people just have silly quirks.

I have a thing about 3s. I check 3 books out of the library, used to get 3 movies at Blockbuster, count in 3s when I'm walking. It's not actually OCD, but it's flipping annoying sometimes.

I can not write on paper unless its clear.. It has to be a blank piece of paper. If I mess up on the page, I will have to start over on a new, clean sheet.

When I eat, I start eating a certain food in my plate and can't move on to another food until I finish what I started eating first. Then I always have to leave just a little bit of food in my plate.

I have to eat breakfast. If I sleep late, wake up at 11AM or something and lunch is ready, I can't just eat lunch, I have to eat something (pop tart, ets.. something small), brush my teeth then eat lunch.

This cafeteria worker at a school by my friend's house, drives down the street, takes a right, reverses goes forward, reverses, goes forward, reverses and then leaves. Every day between 4-4:15 you see her. If a car comes or she gets messed up she makes the block and does it again. Very odd.

THIS. I have to eat each item in order.

Interestingly, my great-grandfather, who died when I was a baby, was exactly the same way, according to relatives.

Pre-smoking ritual back in the days of freebase:
1. Lock doors.
2. Shut and shade windows.
3. Lights out candles, lit.
4. One last glance outside looking for cops and creepers.
5. Do a few deep breaths.
6. Take a big swig of ice water.
5. Fill pipe with insanely huge hit.
6. Light up as my favorite geezing song spun on the record player:

Doors and ovens for me.

When I played baseball, if the bat touched one of my shoulders, it had to touch the other.
