Keep getting these offers from them and was wondering if anybody had any input as to whether it's useful/worth it to join or not?
Thanks in advance!

Worth it if you have to change a tire. Factory tire tools suck.

The only time I used them was twice for car trouble. Those guys even stop for roadside vehicles not covered if they ever see them too. Great company. Otherwise... I haven't used any of their other services.

The one time I needed a tow, it was worth it.

After my GF got a third nail in her tire within 4 months of us dating I got her the plus membership.

Yes, we have used it for unlocking vehicles and 10% discounts on hotel rooms.

It even covers you no matter if you are in your own vehicle or someone elses.

I got about $200 off of a 26' Penske truck and car carrier rental that we used to drive from Memphis to Pittsburgh. I think we got 10% off of four hotel rooms on that trip as well.

So it paid for itself already and it's not even winter.

yep, love them. I got a AAA membership for my wife. Well, I locked my keys in my truck. Wife showed up, called AAA. they came out and popped the lock no charge, even though it was my truck and not her car.

Between Penske truck rentals, rental cars and hotel rooms, it has saved me some money to cover its costs.

I love AAA and keep my policy current but even if you don't have it, they'll let you sign up on the side of the road.

You may check to see if you already have road side assistance with your cell phone carrier.

I have mine through att. 2 bucks a month. Has paid for itself a few times over already for me.

Yeah but roadside assistance doesn't give you discounts like AAA does.

Also some of the roadside assistance plans only reimburse you for services. You have to pay for it first (towing, etc) and then get reimbursed later. AAA you just call and they show up and you don't have to deal with all that.

I have roadside assistance through my bank (USAA), but AAA is so easy to use that I don't mind dropping the hundred and something a year. But still good advice. A lot of people don't realize that they already have RA.

Get the plan that has towing up to 100 miles. The cheap plan only allows for 4 or 5 miles. I learned this when I had to get a tow 30 miles on the interstate.

I upgraded to the 100 mile plan shortly after.

I also have received hotel and travel discounts. It is worth the cost to me.

I joined before I sent my daughter off to college 9 hours away. She used it once so far. A bunch of buckets and crap flew off the back of a truck on I 35 and something wedged under her Mustang. She called AAA and a service truck was there in a few minutes. Guy in tow truck raised up front end and removed metal bucket, checked out the under carriage then made sure engine was running ok. Having the policy is a good piece of mind for us.

I use the Ford RA (it's free), used it for the 1st time last week coming off the bridge in Beaumont and got a flat. They had a truck from Vidor there in 15 min
