Good idea. Shorter trip to Heaven makes for a cheaper ticket.

AA pilot? I can believe they released his name. I thought the whole point was everything was anonymous.

He must have fallen off the wagon.

At least American Airlines pilots have the good form to only kill themselves whilst at work.

Larry King told a story about a black airline pilot he knew back in the 1960s. He was one of the first black pilots and when he walked through the plane he could see many of the passengers were uncomfortable.

Sometimes for laughs he would walk through the plane saying, "Oh lawd! Isa gon' has to fly dis big ole airsaplane and Ise afraid I cants be able to does it!"

Nope. It's American, so DFW to Heaven.

Read a story about an Air Force pilot who declared an emergency, so everyone was at the runway when he brought it in. He was flying an F-106, a very sophisticated aircraft at the time.

So the pilot (a black man) puts the aircraft down, climbs out of the cockpit, wipes his sweaty brow and says to the assembled onlookers, "Man, the only black box workin' in that airplane was ME!".

I read in an article about this that in 2007 the mandatory commercial pilot retirement age was raised from 60 to 65.

Exactly. So what if he was between the ages of 60 and 65?
