As gut wrenching as this is, as much as it rips at your soul and you feel that empty place where once joy dwelt, at least you can hang on to those last moments, those laughs, those smiles. You were able to say goodbye. Maybe you'll have some closure with that.

I know I would have given almost anything for that chance. Just one single moment to let him know how much I loved him and how much he meant to me.

Not having that is something I don't know if I'll ever get over.

on the other side, my uncle was driving his car, stopped at a red light when a motorcycle came up from behind and slammed into him, rider flew at least 20 feet, landed, rolled a few times, and got up and walked away.
My uncle had his neck broken.
