I would think the guys in Iraq not knowing who their enemy was and being blown up by suicide bombers and IEDs, and shot by snipers out of random houses were pretty brave also. Both generations have or had great soldiers

I think this is directed at a general population full of whiney people that exists today. Not just you, Lacour. Get over yourself.

You shouldn't let my opinion bother you.

It seems like it bothers you.

I bet you wouldn't fight if your own freedom were on the line.

Talk is cheap.

This oversimplified and cliched statement that the greatest generation is better than all of us is tiring.

72 years later the brave among us, at places like Berkeley California, are still fighting fascism.

You shouldn't mind someone inferring you come from a lessor generation, yet you are triggered and rattled.

And you doubt your bravery compared to that of the old timers?

No.

I doubt YOUR bravery.

Yes, because a man with a family is very likely to shrink away from protecting them because he wasn't born in the 1920s.

I don't think this is the thread to air out your displeasure. Start a different one.

This is meant to honor those who actually did fight 72 years ago. Instead it's 3 pages of making it about you.

You aren't remembering this very well.

Carry on with your edgy bullshite, though. Seems like a great way to spend a Sunday.
