That's the 50 highest earning zip codes. Not the richest or wealthiest although I'm sure there is at least some correlation.

ETA: On second thought, I think Springlake, where Shreveport's Old Money lives, is in that zip code. You drive through the hood, and all the sudden you're in the middle of a baller enclave.

ETA2: That's not it, Springlake has its own zip code and is further down the list. I can't figure out how Cedar Grove got to be so wealthy.

Number one is probably inaccurate. They are only counting people who file income tax returns and there are a shite ton of poors mixed in in that area.

The 71106 zip code covers a ton of area from spring lake- pierremont all the way out to ellerbe-long lake-southern trace. If the sliver west of I-49 was chopped off the numbers would get even higher.

Cedar Grove Shreveport is crazy on that half of that zip is a a ghetto and a small portion are very rich.
