I can't believe that I'm the only one who just chooses *wrong* almost every time...

I'm talking about things like:
- When exiting a business (like Starbucks) and you push the wrong/locked door
- Plugging in a USB plug or regular plug into a socket for that matter
- Unlocking a backroom door (the twist lock kind)

What else can you guys think of?

You aren't even as good as Sex Panther. Sex Panther works at a clip such that 60% of the time it works all the time.

You probably don't choose wrong almost every time. You just don't remember when you choose correctly, since the result is what you expected when you performed the action.

Realistically you think that you're picking wrong most of the time but the truth is that you probably pick right a lot on things that you don't really think about and don't notice. You only notice when you're wrong so it gives the perception that you choose wrong more often.

You're not, you just remember it more when you do choose wrong.

This reminds me of those who play blackjack and swear that the dude at the table who doesn't know when to hit/stand always negatively effects how much money they make or would have made if he weren't at the table. The reality, the probability over the long run doesn't change, but you just remember the times the dude makes a dumb move that screws you, you tend to forget all the times his dumb moves helped you.
