A five-year-old girl was suspended from school after picking up a stick and pointing it like a gun to her friends during a break time game.
See, shite like this wouldn't happen if we didn't allow girls in school.

I too pine for simpler times.

Perhaps there is more to the story.....like maybe she said "ok going to kill you" or "I'm going to shoot you" while she was playing with the stick gun.
Let's assume she said that, while holding a stick that is barely big enough to be kindling.
Yeah that's still not worth a suspension.

Maybe there is a rule against saying you're going to shoot or kill someone at school. It's a public school.

And? You never played any games like cowboys and Indians? Cops and robbers? Nazis and French Resistance Fighters?
I don't recall mentioning anything I did or did not play with as a child.

She obviously knew good and well that it looked like a gun if she was pointing at people. I've got no problem with this, especially in a country where a large number of people consider carrying around a murder weapon some kind of basic human right

aye, will we ever get back to our roots?

Can probably scrap that statement... Pretty sure that is what the world is now

Then you surely see the absolute dumbassery of suspending kids for playing simple childhood games, right?
What if they were using sticks as swords? Expelled?

So she should sue the school for having trees full of things that look like guns. Imagine the trauma that must inflict on a young mind. I demand all trees be removed from school grounds at once!

We used to play cops and robbers, indians and cowboys and another non-pc game as kids. Never got any crap from it.
Was no big deal.
Odd to me people are up in arms about this, yet will buy nerf blasters and mmorpg games for the same kids.
