Modern progressive opinion on theses matters is that if offenders can beat police in a straight up fight, outrun them, or get away quickly enough in a vehicle, then they have earned the win and thus, freedom from consequences.

Horrible story, but this is what happens when you run from police. The teenagers could have easily killed some innocent people by running, but had they just pulled over none of this would have happened. I support the police 100%!

I'm left wondering how many future violent felonies were thwarted by this.

It’s an approved tactic. No fault lies on the officer. It is sad however, because it’s very possible the driver was ignoring pleas from his passengers to give up.
Also, it’s possible they all 4 were just as guilty as the driver.

When you do shite like this, expect nothing good to come of this. The Trooper did what he had to do to prevent these criminals from hurting or killing innocent people. Sad they all died but they had a choice and made the wrong one to run. That's on them, not the Trooper.
