For residents of Beaumont, Texas, dealing with the flooding from Hurricane Harvey has been like a bad dream, but that may be about to turn into a true nightmare. An area alligator attraction has flooded, and if waters continue to rise, 350 of its alligators will gain their freedom and filter out into the community, according to KFDM/Fox 6

Gary Saurage, owner of Gator Country, told the news station Monday the prospects for keeping the large reptiles on the site were looking grim.

"We're less than a foot from (water) going over the fences," he said. "All of these are certified, high fences, but when it won't quit, it won't quit.

"We've worked around the clock, and I don't know what else to do. We're truly tired. Everybody's at the end of it, man. We don't know what to do."

Alligators are actually pretty happy in the water. I think they will be ok.

Just do what UF does when they can't control their Gators, deny responsibility, fake a stroke and move north.
