I had the Sega Master System and every freaking game that every came out for that console. It was before the Genesis. It was still working perfectly back in 2004ish too.

I gave it all to my cousin about 10 years ago...

pretty sure he just sold it all on eBay

I'd like to have an old Sega. It would be one of the few systems I could actually use my old man skills to play.

I had an Alien action figure around 1980....saw the movie last night and wanted to buy one for old times sake. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

Notice the condition on most of these (NEW)

That is what creates the enormous value - if you have a brand new, unopened, mint condition copy of Mario Kart, it's worth quite a bit to video game collectors as it is extremely rare. The same cartridge, used, is not worth nearly as much ($40) Same rules apply to just about any collectible...people desire pristine condition. It can be tough to find a buyer because supply and demand is limited.

I still have my old Teddy Ruxpin and his buddy (can't remember his name) in my attic. They're probably not in the best of shape though.

that list seems like its just what people are asking for them...not what they're actually selling for

Right, that list is pointless. Put your gameboy up for $5 mil buy it now price, you'll make the next buzzfeed list

edit: the prices are pointless. the list itself is still neat, the nostalgia hits right in the feels

Damn Millennials trying to pawn off their toys for more than they are worth just to get some spare coin so they won't feel like they aren't moochers.

List is BS. Get a job and your own place you worthless bitches.

I currently have my original Nintendo hooked up to my tv. Unfortunately, Duck Hunt doesn't work on today's flatscreens.

What a bullshite article. Just because some idiot puts a buy it now listing on eBay, doesn't mean that anyone will buy it. If you really want to know what these items are selling for, refine your search by only showing "completed listings." You'll find that all of the items listed in the article are selling for nowhere near the prices in the article.

Only one I have are the hot wheels collection. Most are from the 70's. Several hundred of them. Probably should hold onto them for a while.

1. You sound like a miserable person.

2. Millennials weren't born when most of the stuff on the list was popular.

I agree, Crossfire was awesome. And I have the whole collection of those ninja turtle action figures with the case and everything up in the attic.

Fun times.

Yeah, the Genesis isn't worth nearly that much. Also holographic Charizard is $5,550? I mean, I see some people trying to sell them for up to $500, but most people don't go above $20. They really aren't worth a whole lot...

Where did this list get it's information from?

I'm thinking that's just what some people listed the selling price as on ebay. Kinda stupid. I could list a used tissue for sale on ebay for $100,000. It doesn't mean it's worth that much.
