I made 9 months before I got caught last month. Was an actual relief.

Hit me up in January if you find more work! Lol

I worked for an ad agency that went from 300 employees to 0 over a two-year period. They let maybe 15-20 people go every few months with the same bullshite remarks: "now we're lean and mean and poised to make a big turnaround." But they couldn't bullshite us--it was a goddamn ad agency, bullshitting was our profession.

I got laid off...got down.

And now I'm doing something I love with people I like that take care of me and make me feel like I'm a valued member of a team and poised to help grow the company.

I absolutely love it. So glad I got laid off.

You got the wanderlust son,
It's the same old story,
Of young men uncounted,
Since we smelled that salt air,

And there ain't a damn cure,
So get ambulatory,
And strike out for fortune,
Feel the wind in your hair,

Put all you care to carry,
Inside of a rucksack,
A good coat on your shoulders,
And a new pair of shoes,

Then pick a direction,
And don't you ever look back,
It's the only solution,
For those wanderlust blues,

Take a berth on a schooner,
Stow away on a train,
Don't stay anywhere too long,
Keep moving your feet,

Spend your nights in some tavern,
Or sleep out in the rain,
Buy the booze and steal kisses,
And taste freedom so sweet,

And when wand'rin' gets tiring,
Find a good place to land,
Grab a good honest woman,
And make her your wife,

Raise a house and a family,
The best that you can,
So your last words can be,
"Man, I've lived a good life."

My gf was in the mortgage industry and they gave the same spill too. Cut her division to 6 people from a start of 250 people. Cut throat industry

Let me ask you 3 questions.

How old are you?
Are you married?
Do you have kids?

Yep, I did deal with it and it just kicked my arse. The constant stress and worry just made me hate the company and though I was not laid off, my impression of the company was so bad after watching a lot of good people get laid off and lives Ruined, that I quit several months later. It honestly worked out very, very well for me with my new company, but I will never trust corporate America again...
