23% interest on car loan

Co-Worker of mine just bought a truck,

said he financed 17,700 for 6 years and his payment is 458 a month

According to the amortization calculator thats 23.2% interest and ~33k total paid for the truck.

..hes almost 40 years old.

how bad of credit do you have to have ?!

i had a friend (40), makes around a $100k, he had to finance a 2006 nissan maxima which he bought for $6k @ 18%.

I make $70k before taxes and live more comfortably than these morons making 6 figures or more.

I pay everything with cash, have no credit cards or debt, and live below my means and budget very strictly.

If you can get to six digits and live like a broke college kid for a few years its amazing how fast that money can compound.

There is a subreddit i love r/financialindependence

Few guys in their 30's getting close to retirement by making bank and not spending shite. Pretty amazing.
