The city has the biggest cockroach problem, too, according to the Census Bureau.

I did not know the Census counted cockroaches

Some of the trashiest people I know are from Bakersfield, including a guy who killed a state trooper.

If we're telling Bakersfield stories, I have one. I was working at a small hospital there about 15 years ago.

It was a shithole of a hospital, much like the rest of the town, but the most disturbing, disgusting thing is that their Business Office / Accounting Depts were located in 3 mobile homes adjoined by a covered walkway that connected it to the hospital.

There were cats everywhere - all around and underneath the mobile homes. It smelled awful. The people in the offices said that no one ever feeds the cats. They just eat one of the other cats when they die.

This was the conditions at a hospital...

Houston ranks third worst in greenhouse gas emissions from large industrial facilities

This is such a horseshite reason. CO2 is not dirty and not a pollutant under any sane definition - it is a plant nutrient for starters. The human lungs release CO2 at a level that is 100x the level of CO2 in the atmosphere, so the human body is filthy under the criteria of this survey. This "study" is just more stupid propaganda.

Surprised to see San Antonio on that list at all

It's been a few years since I've been there and wasn't impressed. Charles Barkley was right, that is a dirty creek.
