My Grand Cherokee has mostly been OK, except for an oil pump that went in the first few months. BUT, I bet I have had 8 or so recall fixes in 3-4 years.

Most of the Ford guys I know spend a lot on repairs and buy another Ford every 4-6 years.

Odd that Honda is number 9 on the list and Acura is 23 when Acura is the luxury cousin of Honda. How could Acura be so less reliable?

Ram here. About to hit 100k miles with no problems. Worst repair I've had to make is tightening a bolt to the passenger side step rail.
Gonna replace the ignition coils as part of the 100k tuneup just for preventative measures

There is bad (Ford, Ram, Jeep)....but then there is Fiat bad. Jeep is almost as close to the top of the list as they are to Fiat.

Acura has more experimental/unproven tech, so more problems

Likely that Acura technology is a little newer and less proven than what Honda gets. Perhaps Acura drivers are a little harder on their vehicles?

Lexus and Toyota here.
I am also surprised at Infinity's poor rating.

Most of these things come down to how the individual maintains the vehicle. I've owned many different makes, and they've all been very reliable. But I maintain my vehicles well.

Chevy here. I will show this to my neighbors who all drive Fords.

They are going to show it to their cousins who drive Fiats.
Having owned a Ford, Toyota, and Chevy....their placement on the list doesn't shock me. Subaru's placement is surprising though.
