A whopping .29" of rain at the house overnight. I have puddles on my back patio.

Gonna have to go on to work around 2 in Là Porte, Tx... What's it projecting to look like around this area of Texas? Just a bunch of rain and some wind or more than that?

pretty much they could name this storm LSU Bowl Game
lot of talk and bluster ,a bunch of Cajuns and SE Texas get worked up and stocking up on beer.

they make is as far as the exits where there's so much traffic they just drink more and then they pass out

I mean, it is about 120 miles away from the center of an average tropical storm, so that's about what I'd expect. Although if you're near the water I'm sure you'll feel a little more wind since there's no friction to stop it.
Edit: Winds look to be in the low 20s with gusts to 30 on Galveston Bay. LINK to Wind

Watching the news on KXAN -Austin and some dumbass reporter live in Port Lavaca said that the conditions are rapidly deteriorating while a couple in their 80s walking behind him along the water.
